Collective Encounters Workshop

facilitated by Sarah Thornton

Cost £20.00

This workshop is a masterclass on Theatre for Social Change designed for actors, facilitators & activists.

Led by Collective Encounters’ Artistic Director, this session will describe the Theatre for Social Change field and introduce the ideology that underpins it. It will situate Collective Encounters work within the field, and discuss the practical realities of contemporary practice. The session will involve tutor presentation, group discussion and action learning sets; and resource and follow-up materials will be available to take away.

Collective Encounters successfully combines Sarah’s varied background, including applied work in diverse community contexts, directing fringe and professional theatre, developing new work and practice-as-research. Sarah leads on the creative and research aspects of the company’s work, and writes many of its plays.
