Common Shores celebrates the rich diversity of the North West and recognises the important role creativity can play in building stronger, more connected communities.
Over the course of the project, participants will take part in a wide range of creative activities including:
Singing and music
Storytelling and creative writing
Theatre and performance
Circus arts
Confidence-building workshops
Intercultural exchange activities
The project will create opportunities for participants to express themselves, develop new skills, meet new people, and share their stories through creative arts experiences.

Workshop Programme
Songs Without Borders
A welcoming singing group where people of all backgrounds come together to share songs, build confidence, and enjoy the joy of singing in community. Facilitated by Maeve Leahy.
Empowerment Workshops
Using narrative acting techniques to explore storytelling, confidence, and self-expression. Faciltated by Shamim Hasan and Latifa Yeasmin.
Circus Workshops for Children
Creative and playful sessions encouraging participation, movement, and imagination. Facilitated by In Your Space Circus.
Non-Verbal Theatre Workshops
Exploring communication, creativity, and confidence through movement and physical theatre. Faciltated by David Olugbenga Lawal.
Creative Writing & Storytelling
Supporting participants to develop their voices, tell their stories, and explore creative writing. Facilitated by Abby Oliveira.
Confidence Training
Developing confidence, communication, and leadership skills in a supportive environment. Faciliutated by Sarah Munro.
