You, Me and Patriarchy: Exploring a system which affects us all

This 12 week course involved 6x in person, socially distanced workshops and 6x self-led online content. Created by MakeyUppers, in conjunction with Sole Purpose Productions, the course ran from November 2020 to February 2021.

Sorcha Shanahan and Gemma Walker-Farren are MakeyUppers, an original comedy storytelling duo using theatre as a tool for personal and social change. Their work is hugely diverse and always rooted in creating meaningful work through play.

The interactive and fun course explored patriarchy – what it is, why it’s important to know about, and how to change it – using drama, comedy and storytelling.
